Ivory Coast Baule Necklace

Made by the Baule people of the Ivory Coast, these necklaces are strings of 15 hollow brass beads, each constructed from concentric circles of burnished brass wire. Stung on a stout natural fiber string (almost rope). These handcrafted pieces could be worn as jewelry, used as stunning curtain tiebacks, or draped on an object, such as a vase, to add a layer of detail and pattern.

Beads are approximately 1-3/4" in diameter and 2" long. The strand is approximately 38" long (12" diameter).
